Malzemeler ve teknikler Wool knotted pile on wool warp and cotton weft, symmetrical knot. WARP: white wool; Z2S; 16 threads per inch (62 per dm) WEFT: white cotton; Z2S; mostly 2 shoots after each row of knots but varies from zero to 6; 10 knots per inch (38 per dm). PILE: wool; 12 colours: red, light red, light yellow, dark blue, blue, light blue, dark purple, pink cream/pink, dark brown, light brown (which may origianlly have been green), white; symmetrical knot tied around two threads; 80 knots per sq. inch (1178 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: 2 cords overcast with blue wool on the lower sides and dark blue above. END FINISH: Lower: missing Upper: 1.5 cm. of plain weave with light brown wool with one pass of dark brown wool in the middle, then 3 rows of warp twining from which one or two warp threads emerge. Fiziksel açıklama Carpet, axial design of star medallions, squares and shields. DESIGN: Field: Dark blue ground with red lobed medallion in the centre with, above and below, a light blue sheidl containing a mainly red palmette. At the lower end are three light red offset blossoms, the central one set in a horned frame. At the upper end is a hooked cross within a white square and to either side an 'hourglass' figure in kilim design. Above and below are parts only of these motifs. Elsewhere are geometric motifs, animals and birds. Main border: white ground; along both sides and the top are one and two half rows of serrated diamonds; along the bottom are rosettes and diagonal bars. Inner border: reciprocal diamond heads in light red and light brown (green). Outer border: reciprocal arrowheads in dark brown and light red outlined in light blue. Catalogue date: 14.05.97
