Fiziksel açıklama
Fragment of plain woven undyed linen, decorated with a square tapestry-woven panel in brown-coloured wool and undyed linen. The tapestry panel, woven separately, is inserted into the ground weave. There is a selvedge and seam on the left side of the ground fabric. The tapestry panel has geometric decoration, with a square in the centre containing a diamound surrounded by four small rosettes, and four large roundels, one in each corner of the panel. Between each roundel is a smaller panel with similar decoration as the central square, of a diamound surrounded by four small roundels containing rosettes. Ground weave: Linen warp (S-spun, 20/cm) Linen weft (S-spun, 21/cm) Tapestry woven panel: Linen warp (S-spun, 34/cm) Wool weft (Z-spun, 40/cm) 15 ribs per cm
