This fragment is part of group which includes various pieces of shaped mother of pearl, probablly combined with hollow moulded glass of various shapes and inset into decorative wall panels to reflect and possibly transmit light.

Small triangular fragment of mother of pearl inlay. The curved short end was probably designed to fit against a round disc to form a star or sunray motif. Herzfeld's red inventory number I-N 596 on object.
