Fiziksel açıklama Bag face of knotted woollen pile on a woollen warp. WARP: cream wool; Z2S; 17 threads to the inch (67 per dm). WEFT: light brown wool; Z2S; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 16 knots to the inch (58 per dm). PILE: wool; 6 colours: red, light red, dark green, dark blue, brown, cream; symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; 136 knots per sq. inch (1943 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: Left: web of 4 cords overcast with blue wool. Right: returned weft. END FINISH: Lower: 3.5 cms. plain weave with cream weft. Upper: maximum of 2.5 cm. plain weave with narrow band of blue weft - the rest with cream weft. DESIGN: field: rectangle divided horizontally into two halves by a narrow band. Diagonal zigzags in both halves slope to meet at the left-hand edge. Main border: interlocking arch-shaped motifs also found in field's central band. Inner and outer borders: 1) upper and lower have diagonal blocks of colour; 2) sides have alternating squares of red and dark blue.
