Fiziksel açıklama Storage carpet bag in wool and cotton, with a long side panel; soumak, single with some vertical wrapping. The pattern threads are secured by knots. WARP: cream wool; Z2S; 19 threads per inch (80 per dm). WEFT: Foundation: white cotton. Z2S; 1 shoot after pattern weft; 26 threads per inch (120 per dm). Pattern: wool Z2S and cotton Z2S. 9 colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, light blue, purple, dark brown, white cotton; soumak technique with pattern weft moving over 2 threads and back under one. SIDE FINISH: returned wefts. END FINISH: both ends cut. Lower end: 3 cms. plain weave with one band in blue wool (S spun, unplied) weft and one in dark brown goat's hair (?), (S spun, unplied). Upper end: 3 cms. plain weave with dark brown goat's hair (?) weft with very narrow blue band and another of right-facing chevrons, 6 passes deep in red and green in single soumak. DESIGN: there are seven bands of geometric design (which are symmetrical about the central horizontal axis). The central band has a red ground containing interlinked blue lozenges. The second and the sixth bands have a white ground with a six-sided motif alternating with a 'spread eagle' motif. The first, third, fifth and seventh bands all have a white ground containing linked flowerheads.
