Malzemeler ve teknikler cotton yarn, silk thread, weaving, embroidering, sewing
Fiziksel açıklama Plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in straight stitches. Pieced; there is a seam down the left hand side. A strip of plain weave white cotton has been sewn on the four sides. The actually embroidered panel has been cut around all four sides. Directional design with the top of the pattern at the bottom of the panel, so that the wearer saw the correct pattern. There is a border along the bottom: striped stem and pink flower pointing to the lower right and a spray of 3 blue flowers pointing to the upper right. No side borders remain. The main pattern is a series of diagonal lines from lower right to upper left. These are chevron lines in light green and blue. There are two sizes of stripes: [1] narrow stripes: there are 4 motifs: a]iris outlined in black pointing up; b] pointed white blossom pointing straight down; c] red trefoil flower pointing straight down; d] as [b] but pointing right. [2] wider stripes in two designs: [a] angled chevron stem with pointed red, pink and yellow flower with small blue and mauve flowers along its upper edges alternating with an arrangement with two black-outlined small flowers to the left of a group of small bell-like flowers. [b] trefoil root and vase in red and yellow with a pair of upeward pointing red flowers, a central composite blossom outlined in black with a blue flower to either side alternating with a mauve trefoil root, vase outlined in black, a pair of small blue leaves and red trefoil flower and 2 pansy-like flowers with black lines. Threads: silk; 2S; white, yellow, mauve, light mauve, dark green, green, very light blue, red, pink, light blue, dark blue, black.
