Continuing on from the previous file in the sequence [IOR/R/15/6/228], this file concerns Saiyid Ali bin Faisal [Sayyid ‘Alī bin Fayṣal Āl Bū Sa‘īd], uncle of the Sultan of Muscat and Oman [Sa‘īd bin Taymūr Āl Bū Sa‘īd], who was admitted to a Government of India mental hospital at Yeravda (also spelled Yaravda) in Poona [Pune], India, in March 1942. Most of the correspondence relates to the payment of monthly maintenance charges for Ali bin Faisal's treatment, including the salary of his personal attendant. Also discussed is the replacement of Ali bin Faisal's personal attendant in 1945.
