Notlar	Vol. 1, 3, 3d ed. Each volume has general and a special t.p. and an approbation by Vincentius Bracco, enclosed in an ornamental coloured border. This translation was prepared by the Jesuits as a rival to the translation of Van Dyck, published by the American Bible society, 1860-65. The translation was made from the original Hebrew and Greek, compared with the Vulgate, the Septuagint and the Syriac. In critical passages the Vulgate was followed.
