Notlar Ms. fragment., Title supplied by cataloguer., Incipit: "بتعدد مظاهره بل هو احد في جميع تلك المظاهر احد على ما تقتضيه ذاته الكريمة في نفسها الى غير ذلك من صفات الكمال والى ظهوره في كل ذرة من ذرات الوجود ...", Collation: Isolated single folio ; catchwords present., Layout: Written in 13 lines per page ; frame-ruled, Script: Naskh ; pointing in amply space distinct dots ; alif maqṣūrah pointed as yāʼ and occasionally mardūdah ; yāʼ often unpointed large open counters for ṣād, ṭāʼ (etc), medial hāʼ, final hāʼ, and qāf -- others closed ; tāʼ marbūṭah occasionally unpointed ; descenders of rāʼ and wāw abbreviated with only slight curve ; foot of lām only slightly curved ; point of final or free-standing nūn floating above tall, narrow, angled bowl., Decoration: Keywords rubricated ; textual dividers also in red ink., Support: Hand laid paper with 10-11 laid lines per cm (horizontal) and chain lines (vertical) difficult to observe due to surface soiling ; traces of a watermark faintly visible., Former shelfmark: Kelsey 67.1.68, Shelfmark: Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, Special Collections Research Center, Isl. Ms. 1077, Origin: Hand, paper, and provenance suggest Egypt, perhaps 17th century., A few marginal corrections indicate variants. Gifted in 1967 by Dr. Alexander Grant Ruthven (1882-1971) who served as the University of Michigan's seventh president from 1929 to 1951. Likely collected in Egypt by his son Peter (Alexander Peter Ruthven 1912-1965). Transferred to the Rare Book Room from the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology in 1981.
