Hasan) with transcription completed in Dār al-Salṭanah al-Qusṭanṭanīyah (Istanbul) mid-Ṣafar 1117 [June 1705]. As appears in colophon at close on margins of p.313 (fol.١٤٩ a) , Tuhfetü'l-kibar also copied by Miftahizade Mustafa b. Hasan with transcription completed in Istanbul end of Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1117 [March 1706]. Hasan, likely just after the transcription of Tuhfetü'l-kibar., Former inventory marks on upper board lining include "FR / 6/67," "S100," "13667," and "L" ; description with contents and date on verso of front flyleaf "K2 / Fezleke, a world history by Katib Chelebi 1117 / 1705-6" ; oval seal impression in red ink in name of one Hayrullah ("عبده السيد خير الله ...") repeated several times on verso of front flyleaf and 'title page' for added table of contents (p.1) ; description of contents on 'title page' for added table of contents (p.1) "درين مجلد مطبوع تاريخ فذلكه لكاتب چلبي كنارده تحفة الكبار كاتب چلبي كنارده ميزان الحق كاتب چلبي" ; on 'title page' for main text (p.13), ownership statement in name of Mustafa b. Ms. 1051
Örnek Metin Elegant volume carrying three works by the renowned Ottoman scholar Kâtip Çelebi (d.1657), preceded by a table of contents for all three. In the main written area appears his Tarih-i Fezleke, a chronicle of Ottoman history addressing the years 1000 to 1065 (1591 to 1654-5). Two additional works are glossed with deliberate placement on the margins: first his Tuhfetü'l-kibar fi esfari'l-bihar, a history of Ottoman naval engagements through 1067 (1656) preceded by four signed favorable blurbs (taqrīẓ) and contents listing (fihris) and finally Mizanü'l-hak fî ihtiyari'l-ahak, his final work, addressing controversial questions of doctrine or practice with proposed solutions and concluding with an autobiographical account of his life and works (this copy incomplete).
