یادداشت‌ها Ms. codex., Title from inscription on tail edge of text block., Incipit: "دل من پر تعلیم است و من طفل زبان دانش ...", Explicit: "نزد انها که در سخن استادند هر بیت وی از هزار دیوان بیش است", Colophon: "Scribal," triangular, chiefly in Arabic, reads "تمت الكتاب بعنايت الملك الكريم الوهاب تحريرا فى تاريخ شهر ربيع الاول سنه ۱۰۶۶ كتبه العبد المذنب سلطان محمد تایبادی", Collation: i, 16 IV (128), III (134), 27 IV (350), III (356), 20 IV (516), III (524), II (526), i ; chiefly quaternions with occasional ternion ; middle of the quire marks in the form of oblique strokes in black ink on the upper outer corner of the right-hand leaf and lower outer corner of the left-hand leaf ; catchwords present ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals supplied during cataloging., Layout: Written in 15 lines per page with written area divided to two columns ; frame-ruled., Script: Nastaʻlīq ; elegant hand in a delicate line ; characteristically serifless with effect of words gently descending to baseline, elongation of horizontal strokes, pointing in distinct or conjoined dots., Decoration: Elegant illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān / sarlawḥ) at opening on p.2 consisting of a rectangular piece with basmalah flanked by floral motifs on a gold ground, surmounted by a rectangular piece with empty gold cartouche, pendants and flanking pieces surrounded by delicate floral motifs in red, white, green, etc. on a lapis ground and bordered in bands of gold, white, lapis and gold interlace, surmounted by a band of black cartouches alternating with gold diamonds set against a pistachio / turquoise ground and accented with floral motifs, itself surmounted by a tall, scalloped dome in gold and lapis with floral vegetal motifs in orange, white, gold, etc. set in a well of pistachio and gold bands flanking a heavy white band with geometric designs in blue and red, all surmounted by vertical stalks (tīgh) in blue ; written area gold-flecked and surrounded by gold frame with outermost blue fillet ; divisions within written area defined by narrow gold bands outlined in black., Support: non-European (likely Persian) laid paper with roughly 7 laid lines per cm. (vertical, fairly distinct) and occasional chain lines grouped in pairs, somewhat cloudy formation, some inclusions visible, quite sturdy, mainly medium cream in color with some leaves tinted pink, well-burnished ; repairs in wove paper (watermark "...OMAS [?]UPPO" visible in repair to opening leaf, see p.1) ; some staining and tide lines., Binding: Pasteboards covered in dark gray leather (pebbled appearance of shagreen) ; Type III binding (without flap) ; two-piece binding (overlapping flanges plainly visible at spine) ; doublures in dark red leather with scalloped mandorla and pendants in gold-painted filigree appliqué over green, red and blue paper as well as gold-painted accents and tooled borders ; spine lining in floral-printed textile ; upper and lower covers carry gold-stamped scalloped mandorla, pendants and cornerpieces with gold-painted floral accents as well as vegetal and rule borders ; sewn in pink thread, two stations, quite tightly bound ; worked chevron endbands in spring green and dark pink, good condition ; overall in fairly good condition with some abrasion, lifting of spine flanges, etc., Former shelfmark: "30 / 10" in ink and "٢٢" in pencil on recto of front flyleaf ; "201 T. De M. [i.e. Tammaro De Marinis]" in pencil on verso of front flyleaf., Origin: As appears in colophon on p.1050, copied by Sulṭān Muḥammad Tāyabādī (who also completed the transcript of Isl. Ms. 327 in Rajab 1060/ca. July 1650) with transcription completed in Rabīʻ I 1066 [ca. January 1656]., On 'title page' repair (p.1), ownership statement dated Rabīʻ II 1250 [ca.
