Collation notes and annotations on the margins. Verses of poetry in Persian and two ownership statements on fol. 1a. Several short texts and inscriptions on fol. 134a-b (on fol. 134a, short excerpt from Fiqh al-lughah by al-Thaʻalabī by a later hand). Seal on the margin of fol. 94b (repeated on fol. 133b, where it is erased). Inscription in Western numerals in blue pencil on the pastedown of the upper cover: "9".Copy completed on the last night (salḥ) of Muḥarram 618 (colophon, fol. 133b).Incipit: يقول الشيخ الامام ...الحمد لله المحمود على جميع الآلا المشكور بحسب البلا المعبود فى الارض والسما ... وبعد فانى لما لم ار فى كتب العربية والادب ولا فى تصانيف العجم والعرب كتاب احسن تاليفاExplicit: والنصب فى العين مصدر سمّى به قيل واكثر العرب يقولون نصب عينى بالضمّ وهو فى الاصل اسمٌ لكل ما ينصب فعل بمعنى مفعول كالاكل والطعم بمعنى الماكول والمطعوم والله اعلم قلت قد افرع الله انعامه عليّ واتمّ احسانه اليّ اذ وفقنى لاتمام كتاب له ايضاح وهو كتاب جمّ الغرر والاوضاح مشتمل على فوايد ...وقد وقع الفراغ من اتمامه وفتح اكمامه فى شهور سنى ثلث وستّين وخمسمايه وانا ارغب الى اصحابى واحباى والى كل من يطالعه او ستفيد منه ولو حرفاً ان يذكرنى فى صالح الدعا ويشكر لى ما لقيت فيه من العنا والحمد لله على الآية الظاهرة واصلّى على محمد وعترته الطاهرة واسلم تسليما كثيرا - Commentary on the Maqāmāt of al-Ḥarīrī (d. 516/1122).
