Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper.Decoration: Fol. 2b has a small gold leaf headpiece (ʻunwān).Incipit: حمد بيقياس وبيحد وشكر وسپاس لايعد ... بعد هذا بو عبد حقير كثير العصيان محمد اسعدExplicit: وبهذا النمط يعلم المدد خذ هذا التوضيح صريحا وكن به فريحا - Red leather with a gold tooled border design made with a single gold fillet on either side of a gold guilloche. Pastedowns in white paper. - Elegant copy of Esat Efendi's commmentary on the Āyat al-Kursī. The end of the text contains a lengthy and complex chronogram which conceals the date of the composition of this work, and the place is mentioned as "baldah hiyá ṣighat al-maṣdar li-fiʻl al-jihād" [Istanbul?].
