The title of this poem, which is incomplete from its first pages, and in the text of which there is a fairly considerable gap after the fourth, is given on folio 4 recto; its author is a famous poet, who lived during the reign of Sultan Mohammed II (1451-1481). This mystical poem about divine love is written in Mesnevis and Ghazels; it deals, in imitation of the books of Persian literature, with the qualities of the Lover and the way in which he can reach the Beloved, through an exchange of ten letters written in a precious, and often incomprehensible, style, in a genre in which Auhadi and other Persian poets have distinguished themselves. Turkish binding, in stamped black leather.
