Notes
Contents: Ŷumla mujtaṣara min wāŷib umūr al-diyāna (dv-60r) [s. f.] .- Naḍm [sic] farāʼid Ibn Rušd (61v-82r) [1449] 853 of the Hegira. - Tuḥfat al-ḥukkām fī nukat al-ʽuqūd wa-l-aḥkam (83v-128v) [s. F.]. The date has been taken from the only work in the codex that is dated: Naḍm [sic] farāʼid Ibn Rušd (61v-82r), Transliterated title: Maŷmūʽat muʼallafāt fī l-fiqh al-islāmī, Factitious title, Distribution: 1 col. Most of the volume has 20 or 21 lines per page, others vary from 18 to 19., Material: Paper, Ink: Black, carmine, green and red, Place of writing: Not stated, Copyist: Not stated, Colophon: No, Special features: Vocalized text, Illustration: No, Illustrations: The chapter epigraphs appear in a much larger and elongated line in red, carmine or green ink; in the same way as, some words like قال and اللّهم or the particle waw (و)., Type of notebook: The notebooks cannot be counted as the volume could fall apart, Deteriorations: Good condition of the text. The binding is very damaged. In addition, wrinkles, stains, folds and slight ink degradation that do not affect the text are noted on some pages., H in white: 2 H in white: The 83r. and the back of the unnumbered folio bound in the middle of folios 45 and 46, H damaged, mutilated, loose: 6 H damaged: they correspond to folios a, b, c, d, 131 and 134., H missing or added: 7 H added: they correspond to the last 6 folios of the volume, plus one unfoliated bound in the middle of the folios 45-46. H are missing: According to Almagro Cárdenas' description, the 1st work had 250 f., the 2nd 21 and the 3rd 18, plus 3 at the beginning of the volume and another 6 at the end, which adds up to a total of 290 f.; This suggests that according to the folios that Concepción Castillo counted, there are at least 160 f. missing, but looking at the thickness of the spine of the binding, we believe that it did not have as many as Almagro Cárdenas said., Foliation: No original foliation. Modern foliation in pencil whose author is unknown: the first 4 are foliated with lowercase Latin letters from “a” to “d” and the following in Arabic numerals from 1 to 134. In addition, between folios 45 and 46 there is one without folios., Claims: Claims in black ink in the lower left margin of most of the verso folios, except folios 5, 12, 13, 19, 60 and 128 that lack claims; while folios 7, 9, 10 and 11 have claims in both recto and verso; and exceptionally, folio 20v has two different claims, one in black ink and the other in red ink. In some folios the claim is the first word of folios v that coincides with the last of folios r. The claim on folio 65v that appears in red ink is striking. It is observed that the claims in the lower corners are from a later hand., Sign. square: No, Guided: Dry point (almost negligible). Straight lines with a regularity of 8 mm., Filigree: Rectangular cartouche with floral motifs inside, topped with a crown and below a figure that resembles a bunch of grapes. Counter-filigree of letters “RD” in capital letters., Old call number: VOL. VII; A-5-7; Box B-38, No. 6, Annotations: In general, the marginal annotations of the volume are not very frequent; they appear in black ink and only one is marked with red ink. The majority are annotations on legal issues that appear in the folios: from ar to dr, 13v, from 60r to 61r, 82v, and from 128v to the last folio of the volume. Divisions of the work (yuzʼ, niṣf or rubʽ) also appear in the margins and doubly underlined; corrections (by the same copyist and others by a different hand), and the amendment of terms and verses; all of them corresponding to the second work of the volume. And also sporadically, the old seal of the Library of the University of Granada appears.
