Al-Sakhawi attributed in Al-Dhaw Al-Lami’ Al-Kitab to Ibn Al-Mulqin, see (2/235): “The same goes for Lazim Al-Balqini and Ibn Al-Mulqin, and among the works he read to the second of them was Al-Tawah fi Rijal Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih and the appendices attached to it by Muslim, after he wrote a copy of it in his own handwriting.” - He wrote on the cover of the copy that its author was Al-Dhahabi, and referring to the book Al-Dhu Al-Lami’ by the People of the Ninth Century (2/235), it was mentioned that Ibn Al-Mulqin was the author. What also indicates that its author is not al-Dhahabi is that he mentioned in the introduction to the book that he explained Sahih al-Bukhari, and al-Dhahabi does not have a commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari, but rather Ibn al-Muqallim is the one who did that. Likewise, what indicates that al-Dhahabi is not the author of the book is that he narrated it more likely from al-Dhahabi on page 22. He said: “The same applies to Ibn Asakir and al-Lalakaki and his argument al-Dhahabi in his Nile.” The copy has the author’s handwriting proving that he had read the copy on him and contrasted it with his original. The beginning of the chapters and paragraphs were written in red, and it contains comments, corrections, and quotations from some scholars such as Al-Mazzi and others. The book did not only mention the men of the two Sahih books, but rather added to them the men of the four Sunans, as he said on p. 272. The copy contains a commentary. Scholars have this method of discourse.#- It has a fragmentation in the margin based on the fragmentation of the author, may God have mercy on him.#- This is the book Al-Talwih fi Rijal Al-Sahih. The book contained three books, one of which was the Book of Al-Talwih, the other was the Book of Zawa’id Muslim, and the other was the Book of Rijal Al-Sunan Al-Four.
