Fârâbî is one of the philosophers who produced theories and presented paradigms about politics in the field of Islamic philosophy. Apart from theoretical fields such as logic, ontology, epistemology and axiology, he shed light on the Islamic political thought from past to present and the state structures realized on the axis of this thought, with the theories he put forward regarding politics and state administration, and placed the virtuous state at the center of political philosophy with the concept of "el-medinetü'l-fâdıla/virtuous city". Although Fârâbî was inspired by Plato on this issue, he explained his original views based on the basic principles and concepts of the religion to which he adhered. Although Ibn Rushd was a philosopher with his own original philosophical-intellectual works, he was generally known as the commentator of Aristotle in the world of philosophy and became famous in this respect. However, the work that Ibn Rushd, who is known as a philosopher who commented on the works of Aristotle in the field of metaphysics, commented on in the field of political philosophy belongs to Plato, and this is one of the features that makes him different. By commenting on Plato's work called Republic under the name of ed-Darûri fi's-Siyâse, he revealed that he was interested in political philosophy as well as metaphysics and that he did not stay away from this field. This article discusses the views of two great philosophers in a comparative manner from the perspective of Islamic political philosophy.
