Manual of dream interpretation in eighty chapters (أبواب) by the mamluk historian Ghars al-Dīn Khalīl ibn Shāhīn al-Ẓāhirī (غرس الدين خليل بن شاهين الظاهري, d. 1468). A list of the chapters with their title and the folio on which they begin is given on ff. 4v-6v
On the title page (f. 2r) and on the tail edge of the book block, the title is given as The Book of Dream Interpretation (كتاب تعبير المنامات) and the author is called al-ʻAllāmah ibn Shāhīn (العلامة بن شاهين). The author mentions that he wrote another treatise called The Shining Star Concerning the Principles of Interpretation (الكوكب المنير في أصول التعبير, f. 277r, line13).

الحمد لله الذي خلق آدم من طين ثم نفخ فيه روحًا واصطفاه للرسالة كما اصطفى
إدريس من بعده ونوحًا واتخذ إبراهيم خليلًا وموسى كليمًا وإسماعيل ذبيحًا
ونصر هودًا على عاد وألان الحديد لداود ووسع لسليمان في الأرض روحًا
وسخر له ريحًا وأيد صالحًا بآياته وهارون برسالته وجعل المسيح آية وروحًا
Ends (f. 277r, lines 15-23):
... وختمت هذا الكتاب بفائدة شرعته مفيدة في الرؤيا
وهو ما روي عن عبد الأعلى بن النجم قال بت (؟) ليلة في أيام أبي حريش وابن حلف المغافري
بمصر وكانت ليلة جمعة وأنا أقول في نفسي لا أدري من اتبع لأبي حريش وأصحابه وهو يقول
بخلق القرآن أو لابن حلف وأصحابه وكان يقول إن القرآن كلام الله تعالى غير مخلوق قال
فلما أويت إلى فراشي ونمت رأيت هاتفًا قد جاءني وقال قم فقمت فقال لي قل فقلت وما أقول
قال قل سعد سبحان من رفع السماء بلا عماد للنظر فتزينت بالساطعات اللامعات وبالقمر
ما قال خلق بالقرآن بخلقه إلا كفر لكن كلام منزل من عند خلاق البشر وقال لي
اكتب فمددت يدي إلى كتاب من كتبي وكتبته فيه فلما استيقظت رأيته مكتوبًا في الكتاب
والله سبحانه وتعالى أعلم بالصواب وإليه المرجع والمآب والحمد لله رب العالمين
