Brockelmann, GAL, I, 448, commentary d, S I, 620; Chester Beatty no. 3752). al-Khalkhālī's commentary is mentioned by ḥājjī Khalīfah, Kashf al-ẓunūn, I.c. ( = V, 565, lin. 9 Flügel) as bearing the title al-Tanwīr. Comparison of the beginning of kitāb al-nikāh of the present ms. (fol. 174a of the original foliation) with quotations from al-Zaydānī's commentary in the Berlin catalogue, no. 1290 shows a great similarity, but not identity.
