The text begins with a discourse on the necessity of showing respect to the Prophet Muhammad and his descendants. The text then relates the genealogy of Sayyid Sharīf, tracing it through ʻAbdullāh son of Imām Mūsā al-Kāẓim, back to the Prophet Muḥammad and continuing to Adam. The text then describes how a daughter of Khvājah Hamdīn married Shāh Muḥammad Madanī, one of the ancestors of Sayyid Sharīf mentioned in the text, and then relates their descendants down to Sayyid Sharīf.
