Notes Digital image of a document presenting the genealogy of Sayyid Sharīf, father of Ḥukūmat Shah and the grandfather of the Sayyid Sharīf. The text begins with a discourse on the necessity of showing respect to the Prophet Muhammad and his descendants. The text then relates the genealogy of Sayyid Sharīf, tracing it through ʻAbdullāh son of Imam Mūsā al-Kāẓim, back to the Prophet Muhammad and continuing to Adam. The text then describes how a daughter of Khvājah Hamdīn married Shāh Muhammad Madanī, one of the ancestors of Sayyid Sharīf mentioned in the text, and then relates their descendants down to Sayyid Sharīf. While this Khvājah Hamdīn is not identified in the text, it probably refers to a legendary Pīr of the Ismāʻīlī tradition of Badakhshan known by this name. | Location: Khorogh., Incipit: بسم الله [الرحمن] الرحیم [...] This is a letter from [Hazrat] Shah Sayyid Muhammad with the Prophet Praise be to Allah who created Adam, Noah, Abraham and Imran on the worlds..., Explicit: I wrote If it is wrong, the words are wrong ... and peace, Badakhshan Manuscript Project., Paper of the original is heavily damaged, often interfering with the legibility of the text; paper appears to have been previously folded; both the heading and the conclusion are damaged and partially illegible.
