Immediately after the colophon and on the following page and folio is a short treatise on the good qualities of the Prophet by Muṣṭafá Afandī dated Jumādá al-Ūlá 1181 [1767]., Collation: Paper ; fol. ii + 79 + i ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 13 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red., Description: Rubricated ; some vowel signs ; watermarks (roman-alphabet lettering) ; MS in good condition., Origin: According to colophon copied 1180 (fol. 77a)., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله وسلام على عباده الذين اصطفى قال الشيخ الحافظ ابو عيسى محمد بن عيسى بن سودة الترمذى, Colophon: اخرو في سنة 1180 | Contemporaneous type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Gold-stamped mandorla and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Green paper pastedowns. Endbands. | Stamp impression on fol. 78a. Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1900. | Hitti, P.
