Ms. 73 Origin: As appears in colophon on p.207, copied by Shaʻbān ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Muṣṭafá. Transcription completed ("tammat hādhihi al-nuskhah al-sharīfah...") in 1082 [1671 or 1672]. Accompanying materials: Numerous inserts carrying glosses, etc. and one document, often tipped in (first not paginated between pp.86-87, then paginated pp.139-140, pp.151-152, pp.153-154. pp.203-204). Former shelfmark: British Museum, London "No. 139. Commentary on al-Akaid al-adudiyah." ; "٣٧" on tail-edge of textblock. Binding: Pasteboards faced in marbled paper with spine, fore-edge flap, and edges/turn-ins in red-brown leather (marbled paper faced, leather edged, framed binding) ; Type II binding (with flap) ; board linings in laid paper ; sewn in black thread, two stations, sewing often broken resulting in many loose quires ; in poor condition with severe abrasion, lifting and losses of leather, delamination of boards, minor pest damage, minor spine slant (slightly cocked), etc. ; repairs in cloth and leather.
