Former shelfmark: British Museum, London "No. 65. Kamus al-salawat." ; "٢٨٧" on tail of textblock. Binding: Pasteboards covered in marbled paper (salmon, yellow, blue, green, etc.) with dark red leather over spine, foreedge flap, and edges/turn-ins ; Type II binding (with flap) ; pastedowns and flyleaves in European laid paper ; sewn in light pink thread, two stations ; worked chevron endbands in cream, only headband intact ; overall in fair condition with some staining, abrasion, lifting and losses of leather of foreedge flap, etc. Support: European laid paper mainly with 10 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 28 mm. apart (horizontal), and three hats watermark ; well-burnished. Decoration: Some section headings and keywords rubricated (and others in blue-green ink, see pp.87-104) ; occasional textual dividers in the form of red discs.
