Date of 1457 given in colophon probably date of exemplar: tammat al-risālah ... fī al-yawm al-khāmis ʻashar fī shahr Jumādī al-awwal fī shuhūr sanat iḥdī wa-sittīn thamānimiyah. On p. [1] is note: bi-khaṭṭ muʼallifihā al-ʻallāmah Muḥammad al-Tīzīnī al-Ḥalabī. Seemingly high acid content of paper, very brown and slightly brittle, suggests late 19th-cent. date. Purchased in Cairo, 1933/34.
