Notlar	An earlier foliation has 190 ff. for this part alone. Strong light-brown to ivory-coloured paper with watermark or laid lines, some orange-coloured ff. First opening with double rules; corrections, comments and verses in the margin; ff. 4-46 show headings in Arabic in the top margin of the b-pages; the word “vaqf”occurs frequently in the margins; catchwords. Notes (in different hands): f. 1b: verses in Arabic and Persian. f. 3a: verses in Persian and Turkish signed by “Meḥmed el-Rïfqī el-qāḍī bi-Makka al-musharrafa sābiqā”; two anecdotes on the poets Meḥmed “Ṣulkhī” and Jelālzāde Ṣāliḥ Meḥmed Efendi “Yemenī”, both of whom died in 1073/1662-63. f. 4a: three notes in Arabic: a short one on “Mawlā al-marḥūm [...] Bukhārī”, a long one regarding the birth of Iskandar Dhū ’l-Qarnayn. Translation of Kamāl al-Dīn Ḥusayn Wā‘iẓ al-kāshifī's (d. 910/1504-05) Persian work on ethics, Akhlāq-i Muḥsinī written in 40 chapters in 900/1494-95. Other copies: Numerous copies are extant; cf. Schmidt 2000, no. 895, where other catalogue entries are - mentioned.
