Fragment, defective at beginning and end, of a Persian text on poetry, possibly a commentary on the work of an early Persian poet.
The fragment forms a separate codicoligical unit, coming from another manuscript not related to the rest of the folios in this volume in either format or content. All folios of this fragment are on guards.
Begins (f. 212, lines 1-3):
دشمن به کمالات تو نیز ازینمقوله است
و بر تعذیر حمل تشبیه بر تشبیه مفرد بمفرد
نیز محذوری نیست چه مثلیت دشمن که...
Ends (f. 214v, lines 13-18):
ای قاعده تازه ز دست تو کرم را
وی مرتبه تو ز بنان تو قلم را
بر جای عطارد بنشاند قلم تو
گر در سر منقار کشد جذر اصم را
جذر در محاسبات عددی را گویند
که در نفس خود ضرب کرده باشند و...
