یادداشت‌ها	TheDala’il al-Khairat(The Signs of Benediction) is a compilation of prayers for the Prophet Muhammad and other faith-related information by Muhammad ibn Sulayman al-Jazuli (d. ca. 1465). Popular throughout the Muslim world and particularly in Ottoman lands. It also contains descriptions of the Holy Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina, the two most important Islamic pilgrimage sites. Both are typically depicted in the centre of the manuscript, Here, detailed birds-eye views of both sanctuaries appear, surrounded by gold margins. On the right, at tthe heart of the Makkah mosque, the Ka’bah is dressed with its black kiswa cover, further enhanced by a golden belt (hizam) above and a golden door curtain (sitara or burqu’). On the left, within the mosque complex at Madina, a domed chamber contains the tombs of the Prophet and the first caliphs Abu Bakr and Umar, draped in golden covers – perhaps a reference to the precious, gold and silver-embroidered textiles that were spread over the tombs in Ottoman times.
