Parts 11-15 of thirty of the Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, comprising the end of Kitāb al-shurūṭ to Kitāb faḍāʼil aṣḥāb al-nabī. Princeton Library, Islamic mss. Garrett no. 407Y and 409Y are part of the same set. | Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., 17 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh in black ink with use of red. Soft glazed light cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Fol. 22 is a later replacement on European paper with watermark. Marginal annotations. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Dimashq 9"., Copy completed on Tuesday 12 Rajab 847 [Nov. 5, 1443] by ʻAbd Allāh ibn Ismāʻīl al-Khaṭīb al-Ḥanbalī al-ʻIrāqī (colophon, fol. 257b)., Ijāzah for the copyist (whose name is given in full as al-shaykh al-fāḍil Jamāl al-Dīn Abū Muḥammad ʻAbd Allāh al-Ajmī(?) thumma al-Baghdādī, nazīl Ḥalab al-Ḥanbalī), from Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm ... al-Shāfiʻī Sibṭ ibn al-ʻAjamī, dated 7 Muḥarram 848 (fol. 258a)., Incipit: باب الشروط في البيع حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة, Explicit:[255أ] باب المعراج ...
