An abridgment of the work of al-Ḥarīrī 446-516 [1054/5-1122] entitled Durrat al-ghawwāṣ fīmā wahama ʻalá al-khawāṣṣ, which is a collection of strictures on the erroneous use of various expressions. | Collation: Paper ; fol. (2) + 51 + (1) ; catchwords ; quires signed: 1-6 ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Description: Rubricated ; overwriting and other use of red ; MS in good condition but several folios are stained with dampness and fol. 50 is defective., Layout: 23 lines per page ; ruled., Marginal notes and glosses. A slip of paper bearing the title is pasted on the outside of the front cover. Title page has a list of other works by the author, and an account about al-Ḥarīrī., Ms. codex., Origin: According to colophon writing completed Friday 14 Rabīʻ I 1097, text copied Thursday [?] Rabīʻ II 1131 by ʻAlī ibn Ibrāhīm al-Fawzī al-Ḥasanī.
