Fiziksel açıklama
Vase adapted as a ewer, the vase of greyish earthenware, of compressed globular shape, covered with an opaque flambé pale yellow-buff glaze. Later mounted in chased brass to form a ewer for iced water, having a concave cylindrical neck crested round the lower edge and divided in the middle by a projecting moulding obliquely reeded; above and below the latter are chased Arabic inscriptions in narrow horizontal bands and in ogee-shaped compartments. The hinged ogee-domed cover is chased with similar ornament and surmounted by a finial in facetted glass. The long curved spout is fashioned in a form of a flower at the upper end, while the lower is chased with sprays of flowers in a palmette-shaped panel. The curved loop handle is decorated with lozenge diaper. The mounts dated 1272 H / 1855-6AD.
