Fiziksel açıklama Kapunuk (trapping) Entrance decoration to bridal palaquin according to J. Thompson; sometimes known as dizlik (E. Tzareva). WARP: light brown wool; Z2S;; 20 threads per inch (74 per dm). WEFT: cream wool; Z spun, unplied (at the plain weave end, unable to ascertain in the pile area|); 1 shoot after each row of knots; 20 knots per inch (72 per dm). PILE: wool; 6 colours: red, yellow, dark green, dark blue, dark brown, cream; blue and light red in the fringe; asymmetrical knot open to the right and tied around 2 threads; 200 knots per sq. inch (2664 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: Outer: missing, but with a cotton cord sewn in place. Inner: one cord oversewn in blocks of red, white and blue. END FINISH: Lower: 2.5 cm of plain weave with red weft, turned and sewn in place. Upper: one row of symmetrical jufti knots as a fringe) and then 2.5 cm. of plain weave turned and sewn into place. Top left: there is some red weft. DESIGN: described as in use (not as woven); red ground with a top band of five hooked X-motifs. Two side panels: three hooked squares each containing an octagon. Central flap: two rows of diagonal octagons, four in upper and two in lower. Borders: red squares on white. Date catalogued 15.6.94
