Painted canvas cartoon/design for a carpet. The top and bottom edges have been cut, but the width is selvedge to selvedge. The design, which has been painted onto canvas, consists of a corner piece and part of a medallion. There are no borders, nor is there enough of the central medallion to reconstruct the entire design. More widths must have been joined to complete the pattern. 21 warp threads/cms 18 weft threads/cms
