یادداشت‌ها These two pendants were described as a pair of earrings when they were acquired by the Museum in 1901, but they are not identical, although very similar. They were worn at either side of the face, either through the ear or more often hooked into the hair or head covering. Although the filigree is typical of the kind made throughout the Ottoman Empire the marks show that they were made in Egypt.
