یادداشت‌ها Fragment of decoration from a linen (s-spun) tunic. Egyptian, ca. AD600-800. Embroidered in coloured silks in slanted filling (blue, red, yellow, greens, black, brown). The piece is badly fragmented. One edge is bordered with yellow and green lines and then a row of lotus (?) flowers. A pair of hands can be seen and they possibly hold a child. Fiziksel açıklama Fragment of decoration from a a plain woven, undyed linen tunic, embroidered in coloured silks in slanted filling (blue, red, yellow, greens, black, brown). The piece is badly fragmented. One edge is bordered with yellow and green lines and then a row of possibly lotus lowers. A pair of hands can be seen and they possibly hold a child. To the right of this is a bird and above the bird are two pairs of bare legs. It is possible that this fragment is part of the same scene depicted on 124-1891, possibly the Adoration of the Magi.
Üretim Embroidery is relatively uncommon amongst Late Antique Egyptian textiles. It is possible that this piece was imported or embroidered by a non-Egyptian. 124-1891, 125-1891 and 126-1891 all possibly come from the same tunic.
