یادداشت‌ها A square panel from a linen tunic. Egypt, possibly Akhmim, ca. AD300-600. Tapestry-woven in purple/maroon wool and undyed linen thread. The attached linen cloth is a plain weave and undyed. S-spun wool and linen. Double warps. At the centre of the panel is a running warrior with one arm raised. He appears to have a cloak and shield. He is within a solid oval border with a fleur-de-lys on each corner. This sits within a solid rectangular border. Around this are twelve smaller circles, each with an animal or human face (alternating) within. The circles have twirls off each corner. This square is bordered with a row of diamonds (each divided into four smaller diamonds) attached on a line, with each corner having a fleur-de-lys. A small amount of linen cloth is on two sides with the other two sides being selvedge. The piece is damaged at one end and is stained with some dirt remains.
