یادداشت‌ها A square panel of tapestry-woven, dark brown wool and undyed linen (s-spun). Egyptian, ca. AD300-500. In the centre is a crouching leopard with a tree in the background. It sits within a solid circle border. Around this are eight dots and four small circles at the corners and four semi-circles at the cardinal points. The small circles contain a human head and the semi-circles contain a geometric decorative pattern. There are dots on the outer side of the small circles. This is all surrounded by a solid square border and the a border of scrolling waves. The sides are selvedge and some of the main cloth remains attached at both top and bottom. The panel uses double warps which become single for the plain weave cloth, which has a golden colour to it. Approx. 18x14 tpc; a small amount of staining and tear.
