یادداشت‌ها The traditional jewellery of the Syrian region, which incorporated much of Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon as well as Syria itself in the 19th century, shows influences from a wide range of sources, reflecting Syria’s strong trading traditions and central location. The jewellery worn in towns, which is often Ottoman or western in style, is frequently very different from that worn by the nomadic Bedouin, whose characteristic silver jewellery is much better known today. This delicate gold filigree earring with seed pearl pendants is from the urban tradition. There is very little to distinguish it from filigree work from anywhere else around the Mediterranean, but there is no reason to think that it is not typical of what was worn in Syrian towns such as Beirut at the time.
Malzemeler ve teknikler Gold filigree with seed pearl pendants Gold Seed Pearls
Fiziksel açıklama Gold filigree pendent earring, consisting of a flat rosette with a pearl in its centre attached to the end of a straight wire. There are three pearls with filigree caps hanging from the lower rim of the rosette. Another pendant, made from two heart-shaped filigree motifs joined at the base, with a fringe of short lengths of plain and twisted wire, hangs from the lowest point of the rosette by two short chains.
