Malzemeler ve teknikler
Knotted pile, symmetrical knot. Warp: white; wool; Z2S; not depressed; 12 knots per sq. inch (45 per dm). Weft: white; wool; Z2S; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 6 rows of knots per inch (26 per dm). Pile: wool; red, light red, yellow, pink, green, blue, black, white, and grey (9 colours); symmetrical; 2 knots tied around warp thread. Side finish: 1 cord oversewn with grey wool. End finish: lower: 2.5cm plain weave returned warp around a cord; uppper: 2.5cm plain weave, white wool. 1 row warp twining - loose warp threads. Wool Knotted Pile
Fiziksel açıklama
Carpet design: Field: grey ground with narrow irregular bands of black. 11 offset bands of 7 or 7.5 motifs of stylised floral sprigs in all colours and minor differences; occasionally in full diamonds especially on upper right side. Main border: white ground with same motif in all colours shown in one vertical direction with addition of 2 paired animals in upper section on both sides. Inner border: red ground, very stylised floral meander with black stem with abstract blossoms and leaves in all colours. Outer border: blue ground, like inner in pattern on sides but top and bottom ends, red blossoms dominate.
