این فایل به دو بخش تقسیم شده است. بخش اول (برگ های 2-21) شامل چهارده نامه از بوشیر به تهران، دو نامه از بوشیر به بغداد و دو نامه از تهران به بوشیر است. نامه های بوشایر توسط آرنولد باروز کمبال، مقیم این شهر نوشته شده است

اسکادران، به کمبال و هشت نامه توسط کمبال به رابینسون. بسیاری از نامههای رابینسون شامل کپیهای ضمیمه شده از نامههای افسران مختلف اسکادران نیروی دریایی (یعنی ستوانهای جیمز ترونسون، رابرت آنستیس استرادلینگ، چارلز گلدینگ پاسبان و دیوید رز داکرز) است که نه تنها شامل گزارشهایی از وظایف انجام شده در انتهای خلیج فارس میشود، بلکه گزارشهای اطلاعاتی دریافتشده از خلیج را نیز شامل میشود.

For the most part, the letters within the two divided sections proceed in chronological order, although there are several exceptions. The first section ranges in date from 6 January to 2 December 1853 while the second section ranges in date from 22 March to 8 November 1853.
