With the passage of about three decades since the end of the holy defense, a large number of veterans have faced many issues in their lives and this can affect their quality, therefore it is necessary to address their condition and quality of life. How veterans think about their quality of life is the main issue of this research. To find the answer, a number of 30 veterans with different levels of veterans were investigated using a qualitative method. All respondents were residents of Qom at the time of the research. Research questions based on the World Health Organization's standard quality of life questionnaire were asked to all respondents in the same way. The results revealed that many veterans have problems in terms of the objective aspects of quality of life, especially in the aspect of physical health. This issue also applies to the conditions of the physical environment outside the home, and veterans complain about the lack of facilities and the lack of necessary standards for veterans and the disabled in public and government places. On the other hand, the state of mental health of many veterans is evaluated as good or even excellent, which is mainly due to personal beliefs and values. The condition of the residential environment and neighborhood of the veterans is mainly within their expectations and satisfaction. The overall assessment of the quality of life of veterans indicates high and appropriate levels, which shows the avoidance of a stereotyped and presupposed view of veterans' lives.
