Notes The importance of social supervision is to prevent the deviance of individuals and groups in Islamic society, and it is clarified according to the recommendations in religious texts and the variety of its methods, including divine, individual, organizational and public supervision. The supervision of all, which arises from the responsibility of the members of the society towards each other, has been crystallized in the form of two duties "enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil". Despite the importance of much discussion and effort in this field, it seems that the exclusivity of command and prohibition in the traditional way does not have the necessary effect, especially among the young generation; Therefore, the current research seeks to find innovative and efficient methods, according to the teachings of Nahj al-Balagha. By analyzing Nahj al-Balagha, we find out that in addition to direct commands and prohibitions as one of the methods of social control, imamg indirectly invites people to good things and forbids bad things. Indirect method based on time, place, and audience, has been used by Imam Ali in various ways of persuasion, reprimand, prayer, curse, expression of surprise, expression of question, sermon, etc. This research has investigated different methods of social monitoring in Nahjul-Balagha by descriptive-analytical method and based on information analysis.
