Notes Ms. codex., Title from opening on p.2., Collation: 7 V(70), IV (18) ; almost exclusively quinions ; catchwords present ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization (mistakenly skips ahead from p.90 to 92, then from p.100 to 102)., Layout: Written in 25 lines per page ; frame-ruled., Script: Naskh ; bold, compact Turkish or 'Syrian' hand ; partially (though irregularly) seriffed with right-sloping head-serifs on occasional lām, joined alif, etc., rounded with curvilinear descenders, slight effect of tilt to the left, kāf mashqūqah preferred (even final kāf), pointing in strokes or conjoined dots., Decoration: Lacunae have been left for rubrics (text being commented upon) yet unsupplied., Support: European laid paper with 7 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 29-32 mm. apart (horizontal), crescent with face in shield watermark (see p.50, 51, etc.) ; fairly thick and sturdy though crisp, light cream to white in color, well-burnished ; slight ink burn in final leaves., Binding: Boards (fairly thin) covered in coated paper (dark and lighter blue, mottled with sponge painted or faux marbled look) with red leather over spine and fore edge flap ; Type II binding (with flap) ; board linings in untinted wove paper ; sewn in light pink or yellow thread, two stations ; worked chevron endbands in light pink and brown, fairly good condition ; overall in fair condition with some abrasion, pest damage, moisture damage, etc., Former shelfmark: From interior of upper cover and spine label, "IL 384" (likely supplied by Yahuda, see acquisitions slip)., Accompanying materials: a.
