Notes The late Halil Ethem Eldem, the great Turkish epigrapher who passed away two years ago, leaving a deep void in the world of science, five years before his death, presented 417 pieces and inscription prints, all of which belonged to the Turkish-Islamic period, with the exception of one or two, to the Turkish Historical Society, which he had managed to collect over many years with many difficulties and continuous work.
