Notes The chronological history of the Huns in the reign of Muahhar Khan mentioned here was collected by Shen Wei - hsien and published in Erh - shih - wu – shih pu - p'ien (pages 2566 - 2577). The chronicles of the Muahhar Khan period (Hou - Han - shu, author: Fan Yeh and others) contain all the scattered materials. In addition, material was taken from other works. The material is then the best available. Author Shen Wei-hsien makes some critical considerations in the parts he disputes and also adds material that is not very sure. His critical considerations are generally good and valuable. We have only added explanations of European dates and some names, always with disagreement. Apart from that, we always tried to stay true to the original.
