This joint article is the output of a debate that deals with the relationship between aesthetics and ecology and the possibility of an "ecological beauty". A possibility that is effective on landscape design, planning and management. We outline unresolved questions and our shared understanding of this connection and the importance of aesthetics in understanding and influencing landscape change, and describe the ways in which aesthetics and ecology are likely to conflict or complement each other. At first, for a better understanding of the topic, the conceptual model of aesthetics-ecology relationship is presented. We hypothesized: 1. Although human and environmental phenomena occur on a wide range of scales, humans are involved with environmental phenomena on a specific scale, and that specific scale is their experiences from the perspective of their surroundings. That is, the realm of human perception. 2. Interactions within this realm increase aesthetic experiences that can lead to changes that affect humans, the landscape, and as a result, the ecosystem. 3. Context or substrate (text) affects the aesthetic experience from a perspective. The context includes the effects of different types of landscape (agricultural, cultural, urban and natural) as well as individual and social activities. In our opinion, some sites and contexts have a type of beauty that is traditionally called "landscape beauty" and others have a different type of beauty experience such as identity and belonging. Finally, we will say how intervention through landscape planning, design and management or through knowledge enhancement may lead to establishing a favorable relationship between aesthetics and ecology. We explore the controversial features of this ecological aesthetic. These interventions, which can help in maintaining the useful patterns of the landscape and its practices, are normative in nature, we consider the moral aspects of their meanings.
