Sample Text When I traveled to the Second Turkish Historical Congress in September 1937 as a guest of the Turkish government, it was not only the prospect of seeing the incomparable city on the Bosphorus that filled me with unusual excitement, but also the hope of getting to know the savior and creator of modern Turkey and becoming familiar with at least a portion of his tremendous life's work. This hope was amply fulfilled, because exhibitions, guided tours and study trips during the congress and afterwards gave us deep insights into what this unique man wanted and fulfilled, and we also had repeated opportunities during the conference to see, hear and speak to him ourselves
