Notes A condensed version of the work called Kitāb al-Büldān, which was written by Ibn al-Fakih of Hamadan, one of the great Arab geography scholars, in 902 AD, was known from the copy recorded in the Atıf Efendi library under the name "Muhtasar al Büldân" in N. 171 and as the work of Ali bin Cafar al-Şazart. This concise figure was published by the Dutch orientalist M. De Goeje as the fifth volume of the "Library of Arab Geographers" collection. According to Yakut Hamevi, the detailed original of the work, which contained 1000 pages, was considered lost, although it was used by this author and some people such as Ahmed Tusi; but it was found by Imam Riza in Mashhad in 1923. The Mashhad copy of the book, which was found by me in the Ravzasi library, is not a complete copy.
