Notes	In addition to tax inscriptions, principles of eastern state finance and diplomacy, and documents related to this issue, they contain essential source material for research on medieval social and economic history. If we leave aside the inscriptions of this kind of the Mamluk state, their number is not high. However, the small number of inscriptions of this kind that have been published so far cannot generally be considered fully explained scientifically, due to the difficult to understand specialized language. Orient! The inscription found on the wall of the old Menucehr mosque in Ani in Anatolia and discussed by W. Barthold is an exception in this regard! Below, a few tax inscriptions of Anatolia, Iraq and Iran, which have either not been fully clarified or have not yet been published, will be mentioned.
