Notes On the concise archaeological map prepared by the Turkish Ministry of Culture. "Alaca-Höyük" was shown among the places that required proper excavation. The Historical Society, which opened a new era of scientific excavation in Türkiye, decided to carry out excavation in Alaca-Höyük in its meeting at the beginning of the summer of 1935. A delegation led by one of its members, Dr. Hamit Koşay, and Archaeologist Remzi Oğuz Arık started the work immediately. The excavation took place on 22 August. It lasted from 1935 until the end of the first term.
